What a great day it was at Te Anau's 21st Birthday party. Lots of people in fancy dress. (Have you noticed how nearly every children's librarian is slightly MAD about fancy dress parties?) I had a great few days in Southland visiting schools and telling stories for the Dan Davin Literary Foundation as part of the Southland Festival of the Arts. Check out the Dan Davin Foundation here.
I also got out to Winton Library and had a great session with some very enthusiastic kids, thanks to Willie, Winton's super-keen librarian.
Melu is
an absolute winner! The story is full of Kyle

humour and it’s a real joy to read. Kids will
